Abstract
Access closure is a key element to successful retrograde percutaneous transfemoral transcatheter aortic valve implantation. It requires large-bore femoral arterial access (18Fr28Fr) which most operators manage with surgical access and closure under general anesthesia. We report a case example of how, using our center's peripheral interventional experience, we have developed a simple five step technique to achieve hemostasis percutaneously.
