Dr. Boudreaux, a native of Houma, LA, is a Phi Kappa Phi graduate of The University of Houston in Houston, Texas. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree with honors from the University of Houston College of Optometry and completed postgraduate work in pharmacology and ocular therapeutics through the LSU School of Allied Health at the LSU Medical Center. In 1987, Dr. Boudreaux helped establish the Section of Optometry within the Department of Ophthalmology and Optometry at Ochsner Medical Center, where he currently serves as Section Head of the Section of Optometry. He is certified in ocular therapeutics by the Louisiana State Board of Optometry Examiners, and he is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Optometry Association of Louisiana, and the New Orleans Contact Lens Society, of which he is a past president. He has been named one of America's Top Optometrists by the Consumers' Research Council of America and is a recipient of the Ochsner Community of Caring Physician Award. Dr. Boudreaux practices general optometry at the Ochsner Medical Center on Jefferson Highway in New Orleans.
