Ronald Dwayne Delrie was born in Alexandria, LA and raised in Pineville, LA. After graduating from LSUA with a nursing degree, he worked as a RN in Monroe and Baton Rouge, LA before deciding to go to medical school in 2002.
He entered Tulane School of Medicine in 2002 where he received a scholarship from LAMMICO for academic excellence and graduated in 2006. He completed Internal Medicine residency at Emory University in Atlanta GA in 2009 and completed Hematology/Oncology fellowship at UT Southwestern (Dallas TX) where he served on the fellowship steering committee and was a fellow representative on the Parkland Clinic Committee.
He has previous research experience in antiphospholipid syndrome and DNA recombination (role of DNA PK in lymphocytes). He joined Ochsner in 2014 and is actively involved in ongoing clinical trials at Ochsner Medical Center Baton Rouge.
