Dr. Lee Montgomery is a native of Mississippi. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in chemistry from Millsaps College where he graduated summa cum laude as class valedictorian and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. During his time at Millsaps, he was recognized with the President's Medal. Dr. Montgomery went on to earn his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, where he received the Consummate Physician Award from the prestigious Canby Robinson Society. He furthered his training as an intern and resident in family medicine at Florida Hospital, then the largest hospital in the state.
Dr. Montgomery is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been elected fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Louisiana Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Montgomery's areas of special clinical interests include management of chronic health conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart and lung disease, the treatment of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, and LGBTQ+ healthcare.
