Dr. Maraynes received her medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada in 2009. She went on to complete her internship and residency at Jacobi Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. She completed her fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at Kings County Medical Center, SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, in Brooklyn, New York where she served as chief education fellow.
Dr. Maraynes is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both general pediatrics and pediatric emergency medicine. She has been on staff at Ochsner since 2015. Dr. Maraynes serves as section head of the pediatric emergency department. She has special interests in patient advocacy, healthcare inequality, quality and safety and education.
