Katherine Johnson, RNC, MSN, FNP-BC completed her baccalaureate degree in nursing from Louisiana State University Health Science Center in 2009. She worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Ochsner prior to completing her Masters in Nursing with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner in 2016 from Southeastern Louisiana University. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. After graduation she moved to Houston and worked as a nurse practitioner in a private OB-GYN practice for two years. She moved back home to New Orleans in August 2019 and became a member of the Ochsner OB GYN staff. She is passionate about caring for women at all stages of life, from adolescence to pregnancy to post menopause. She has particular interest in breastfeeding and did her thesis for her graduate program on breastfeeding. In her spare time she enjoys exercising, shopping, and spending time with her three young daughters and her husband.
