Dr. Kuo is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician and has been on staff at Ochsner Health since 2008. He received his medical degree in 2004 from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his Emergency Medicine residency at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 2008.
In 2016, Dr. Kuo was appointed to the Louisiana EMS Certification Commission by Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards. At Ochsner, he is the Medical Director of multiple departments including Patient Flow Center, Regional Referral Center, Flight Care, St. Charles Parish EMS and Corporate Wellness.
Since 2009, he has been the on-field Airway Management Physician for the New Orleans Saints of the NFL. He is also the Medical Director of multiple music festivals including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. He served as the Medical Director of the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Louisiana in 2015 and has previously held leadership roles in Emergency Medicine as Director of Quality Assurance, Director of Performance Improvement and Director of the Medical Scribe Program.
