Joy Fletcher Chairs is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is an active member of the Louisiana Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau's International Honor Society for Nurses. She is a New Orleans native and began her nursing career in 1997 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She earned her Associate of Science in Nursing at Delgado Charity School of Nursing and began her registered nurse career in 2006. She received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from William Carey University and went on to receive her Masters of Science in Nursing at Herzing University. Her extensive healthcare career has yielded a variety of nursing experience including correctional medicine, geriatrics, critical care, post anesthesia, liaison and marketing, medical surgical, home health, inpatient rehabilitation, diabetes educator, hospitalist and most recently neurology and stroke care.
