Dr. Amanda Henne was born and raised in the Greater New Orleans area. She attended Louisiana State University for her undergraduate degree where she majored in biological sciences, minored in sociology, and participated in Greek life. Dr. Henne then received her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans where she served several leadership positions and was selected to be part of the research honors program after winning the top research presentation in 2011. Dr. Henne completed residency training in OB-GYN at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. During residency, Dr. Henne served as the resident liaison for the Women's Services Quality Improvement Committee and was awarded the SLS Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Surgeon Award in 2018. As a native to New Orleans, Dr. Henne is excited to have the opportunity to serve and treat the people of her beloved city and build a practice in the community she calls home. She provides care to all low and moderate risk obstetric patients, as well as the full spectrum of gynecologic care. She has a special interest in resident training and minimally invasive surgeries.
